Hourn moves vehicles for manufacturers, for people who own them, and for the events those cars appear at. The useful version of the job is simple: the car is collected, it stays covered, and it is where it was promised.
Privacy is part of the service. Enclosed transporters, a tracked journey, and a handover that does not need an audience.
Drivers
Drivers hold Class 1 licences. They are hired to move valuable cars without turning the journey into an event.
Operator’s licence
Hourn holds an operator’s licence. The company is set up to run this work properly, not as a side job.
The vehicles
Every vehicle runs a tachograph and is checked every six weeks. Cars travel in enclosed rigs, with GPS on the movement.
Insurance
Goods in transit cover is £250,000 while a vehicle is in Hourn’s care. That limit can be increased when a load needs it.
